Citigroup Accused of Misleading COBRA Notice

Citigroup Inc. is just one of the latest to be accused of sending out inadequate COBRA notices to its former employees, failing to tell its ex-employees how to continue their health insurance plans. Attorneys Chad A. Justice of Justice Litigation Attorneys LLC as well as Brandon J. Hill and Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA are representing Citigroup ex-employee Manuel Pinazo in a class-action lawsuit against the company. An article by Law 360 says the lawsuit explains that while "notices must be written in a way that can be understood by the average worker, the notices that Citigroup sent didn't give former employees all the required information."
